You wait all month for Ivan to arrive…and then two come along at once.

You wait all month for Ivan to arrive…and then two come along at once.

“Ivan” at Tara Arts Theatre in Earlsfield is a one-man physical comedy, written and performed by Scott Sparrow, which takes the audience on a fantastical odyssey. “The Death of Ivan Ilyich”, adapted for Attic Theatre from the Tolstoy work, explores the question, if you were to die tomorrow, what would you miss the most. This is an intimate and immersive piece starring accomplished actor, Jack Tarlton.

Ian interviews each Ivan. See what we did there?

Attic Theatre produce their work in the Merton Arts Space which is part of Wimbledon Library.  Not to be outdone, Baseless Fabric Theatre is also bringing us some library action.  They are performing some less well-known David Mamet plays “Reunion” & “Dark Pony” at Earlsfield and Battersea Libraries. Part of National Libraries Week and an option perhaps for “shufflebottoms”…those who like short theatre productions!

Oxford based duo OMYO nod their heads to pop, dance & soul will be performing for Oxjam Clapham on Saturday 7thOctober. Damien swaps musician ideas, influences and ideals when he met up with them ahead of their local appearance.

Groundbreaking company, Flute Theatre bring their new production especially devised for young people with autism to the Orange Theatre in Richmond.  Fresh from winning the Most Welcoming Theatre award as well, the theatre plays host to  Kelly Hunter who has worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company numerous times.   She talks to us about this unique show, part workshop part performance.

At last, the much anticipated “In Event of Moone Disaster” opens at Theatre503 this month. The play brings alive the adventures of three extraordinary women spanning 80 years, against the backdrop of humanity’s journey to the stars. This is Andrew Thompson’s debut play as winner of the 2016 Theatre503 Playwriting award and the first show o be directed by Lisa Spirling since she took over as Artistic Director. We interview them both!
