THE BATTLE FOR WANDSWORTH

THE BATTLE FOR WANDSWORTH

This year the local council elections in Wandsworth are on a knife edge with the local Labour party buoyant from their victory in the election of Marsha De Cordova as Battersea MP last year, they believe they can take control of the council from the Conservatives for the first time since 1978.
The manifestos have been published, leaflets are being pushed through letterboxes across the borough and decisions are being made on who will represent your part of Wandsworth in the council for the next 4 years.
You may be undecided on which way Wandsworth should go, so on Monday 23rd April our local election debate may help. Tune in to Wandsworth Radio from 8pm on the TuneIn App for smart phones and tablets or click on the Listen live button on our website. You’ll also be able to watch the proceedings LIVE on our Facebook Page here…
The debate will centre around our main speakers, leader of Wandsworth Council and Conservative Ravi Govindia and the leader of Wandsworth Labour Simon Hogg. Other candidates from the Green PartyLiberal Democrats, Renew Britain and Independents with a smaller share of the vote have also been invited to feature in the live radio programme.
We’ll be broadcasting the debate LIVE from The Exhibit in Balham at 8pm on Monday 23rd April with an invited audience made up of people, services, businesses, associations and charities from across the borough.
