Simon Burnett

A lifelong Wandsworth resident, I was born in Tooting in the 1970s, grew up in Southfields and now live in Putney. I first presented a radio show and promoted club nights while studying Film & Literature at the University of Warwick in the mid 1990s. After taking some time out to travel (and soak up lots of music) in Asia and South America, I came back to London where I’m now a writer and DJ. I’m currently resident DJ at London’s The Hospital Club, in Covent Garden where I play a broad mix of music including soul, funk, house, jazz, reggae and Latin.

A DJ for over 20 years, I play a very broad mix of dance music from soul, funk, house, jazz, reggae and Latin through to drum & bass, electronic, downtempo Balearica and lots besides! I’ve been lucky enough to play music at clubs in Ibiza and New York and discerning dancefloors all over London.

LOVE WANDSWORTH: The parks and commons, the mix of people, curries in Tooting, drinks by the river, coffee outside in Northcote Road and Old York Road, Youngs pubs, Battersea Arts Centre, live jazz on Sundays at the Half Moon.
