Mary Lou Watson

I have lived in Battersea since the mid 1970’s. My career so far has included working as an auxiliary nurse, to working as a make up artist when I had the privilege to  travel and work with  photographers including Bailey , Parkinson and Donovan on magazines from Woman’s Own to Vogue.

I co-authored a book on pregnancy in the 80s which was the first book written by women for women. I now have a practice as a McTimoney Chiropractor and teach Yoga.  I have been in practise for nearly 20 years and am passionate about the link between  life-style and health

I have travelled widely and love the challenge of being in a new city where the language and culture  is unfamiliar. This year I worked for a french radio station in Senegal as a volunteer.

LOVE WANDSWORTH: It is where I have been lucky enough to live all these years, so near to central London but full of open spaces, in particular Battersea Park, my absolute favourite , a place to touch base with nature and a bolt hole in good times and bad. I feel as though I am on holiday in Wandsworth on an adventure of  rediscovering and discovering different facets of our vibrant community that I will be able to share with you the listeners on Wandsworth Radio.
